Towhee

Towhee
pops up upon the side mirror
warm brown body
sits comfortably
before the sun emerges
for breakfast

Morning Moon

morning moon

bright as sunshine

peeks into

bedroom windows

bypassing curtains

and other things that keep

children sleeping

Vines

vines cling to brick

peeking over at men

in florescent yellow and orange

drilling holes in the ground

opened up her big

avant garde arms

and welcomed

master food wanderer

into her ups and downs

Lazy Day

while joggers whiz round bay area trails

i softly slip back into slumber

Winter Calm

sunshine settles nicely

on the garden wall

cool wind moves

shadows through redwoods

winter calm motivates

sleepy bones

Dark Chocolate

crumpled dark chocolate

melts inside 2nd day coffee

inspired by moon rays

sliding through steam
