Sometimes you just have to write a love poem. Enough said...
Water Falls
Down The Back Of My Neck
By
Julie Gengo
The broken
chair bends while twins fly by
The way he
looked at her
And you at me
Slanted
mailbox suspense
Subtle
laughter and surprise
His words,
your lips
Water falls
down the back of my neck
Russian spies
and Chameleons
Our friend at
the bar
I smiled, you
laughed
Time stopped
for a moment
Among the
madness
Warm hands
caress
Black and
while swirls and magnets
Bon Iver and
Sweden’s roar
While tulips
listened
To stories
and poetry
When you were
there and
I was here
Dreams and
melody
Like
butterflies and waterfalls in the distance
